about
My original song, reflecting on the current times. Covid-19; the myriad opinions swirling on the internet. How may we go deeper within our many and varied experiences?
Video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYn3TL8RCb8
Shelter with you, together through joy and sorrow
Love shining through, though we can’t view tomorrow
Fear circles the mind,
Go deeper, what may we find?
When we’re at home, we can remain connected
Pick up the phone, if you should feel dejected
For strong and for frail, what will this test illumine?
May kindness prevail, bring out the best in humans
Cruel gap between rich and poor
Shows starkly as often before
Small business faces the wall, but
We’ve plenty of money and food for all
[If we share…. Social justice for all… ]
So: was it pangolins or bats, is it inconsistent stats?
Media beat-up, or just another flu?
Is it economic war, or conspiracy?
Was it made in a lab, is it toxic 5G?
First responders, nurses, doctors, scientists and statisticians
Meditators, corporations, journalists and politicians
All presenting points of view, what you take up is up to you
Facts, myths, daily shifts, trying to decode these hieroglyphs
Scholars, trolls, David Icke, Tom on Facebook, who you gonna like?
But I’ve heard the medicos appeal, so I’m treating it as real
Sure, many die from seasonal flu, but they don’t overwhelm the ICU
Whatever the case, I’m practising self-seclusion
I’m 60 plus: about that there’s no confusion!
Who's right or wrong? Maybe we'll never know
But let's get along, love shining through will show
We humans have fractured the web of life
We’ve manufactured global strife…………. but look:
See dolphins in Venice, in China there’s clearer air
Just look what happens with fewer people out there!
Dear Mother Nature I’m sorry we’ve been so blind
Look to the future, may all beings become…… more aligned
